Sola flowers are not fresh flowers. They are handmade from soft tapioca or balsa wood and feel like a thick or spongy paper in person. Natural variations and brown veining occur on each flower due to being made from natural materials. Our dye lots vary from batch to batch so the color maybe slightly darker or lighter than what is shown in the listing photos.

What are sola flowers?
Sola flowers are handmade with shavings from the tapioca plant or soft balsa wood. In person they feel like a thick spongy paper. Due to being handmade no two flowers are exactly alike. Some brown spots will be on some of the flowers due to being made from natural materials.
Do you use fresh greenery?
No, all greenery and filler flowers I use in my designs are real plant material that has either been air dried, or chemically preserved and dyed after it has air dried. This allows all my items to be kept as keepsakes after your event.
How far in advance before my event can I recieve my order?
Since our designs are all keepsake items, you can order and receive your flowers several months before your event! We recommend ordering no later than 1 month before the event to avoid rushed delivery fees.
Are sola flowers fragile?
Yes! Although hardier than fresh flowers, sola flowers are still fragile and need to be handled with care. Our designs are carefully packed for shipping, but sometimes small tears or broken petals may occur due to shipping. Even if this happens, the flowers are still beautiful and usable.
How do I care for sola flowers & your designs?
Sola flowers are more durable the fresh flowers, but they are still fragile. Handle them gently. Store indoors in a dry place. Direct sunlight through a window eventually will fade the flowers and greenery.
How long will your designs and sola flowers last?
Forever! All of our designs are meant to be keepsakes.
Can I add scents to the sola flowers?
Yes. You can apply few drops of oil-based scents to the flowers. Scents that we sell in our shop will last for several weeks and you can re-apply the scent as often as desired.

My girlfriend loves them and that's all that really matters plus she said the smell was so good and they are available for purchase to refresh when it fades, those are huge pluses. I am a very meticulous person and I noticed some of the flowers looked smushed and they're were several "petals broken. It wasn't completely ruined but it was enough for me to see it and internally groan. I didn't reach out because it was stated this could happen in shipping and really what can the seller do beyond their best to prevent as much damage as possible...we all know COVID is sky rocketing deliveries going out and I'm sure packages aren't being handled as delicately as they should be... nonetheless they're pretty.
